Mark your calendar: 91看片鈥檚 Annual Parade And Street Festival is set for Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016.
This year鈥檚 parade theme is 鈥淥ut Of The Ashes Came Hope鈥� and will feature several floats that each illustrate a decade of the history of 91看片, which was founded in 1968 by Monsignor William J. Linder. The daylong celebration will also include a street festival with family-friendly activities, food, vendors, a health zone and youth zone.
The extravaganza coincide with a series of citywide celebrations commemorating the 350th anniversary of Newark鈥檚 founding. Over 150 marquee programs will highlight Newark鈥檚 rich history, remarkable achievements, diverse communities and extraordinary culture presented by a coalition of local groups such as 91看片 and other cultural organizations, educational institutions and citizen groups, according to the Newark Celebration 350 website.
