Summer Interns Get Real Jobs

More than 100 teenagers spent their summer performing various jobs throughout the 91看片 network as part of programs designed to give them hands-on experience in a variety of career areas.
The workers were from the Newark One- Stop Career Center and the others were primarily from 91看片鈥檚 Teen Learn and Earn Program and the RU Ready-For-Work Program.
Summer intern Jay Arias, 18, worked at the 91看片 Extended Care Center, performing various maintenance assignments.
鈥淚 feel like I鈥檓 making the people鈥檚 lives easy by helping keep the environment clean,鈥� said Arias.
Terel Dyall, 16, incoming junior at Montclair High School, worked as a computer technician aide in the IT Department at 91看片.
鈥淲hat I like about my job is the variety of stuff聽 I can create and do inside of the computers,鈥� said Dyall.
Theresa Daniels, 15, rising sophomore at Newark Collegiate Academy, enjoyed her summer as well working in the 91看片 finance department.
鈥淓very day I do something different,鈥� she said, noting she spent a lot of time filing papers and making copies of documents.
