CHELC’s parade was on March 27 and HHELC’s parade was on March 28. Students, staff members and family members marched around outside of the buildings with posters representing women’s history.

7th Annual Women鈥檚 History Month Celebration at St. Joseph Plaza /2020/03/7th-annual-womens-history-month-celebration-at-st-joseph-plaza/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=7th-annual-womens-history-month-celebration-at-st-joseph-plaza /2020/03/7th-annual-womens-history-month-celebration-at-st-joseph-plaza/#respond Wed, 11 Mar 2020 14:28:47 +0000 https://www.newcommunity.org/?p=15184 St. Joseph Plaza, 233 West Market St., Newark, hosted the Seventh Annual Women鈥檚 History Month Celebration titled 鈥淟iving Life on Purpose鈥 March 6. The event, which drew about 150 guests, was dedicated to the memory of Yvette Glover, a Newark native who sang gospel and jazz locally and internationally. She passed away Feb. 11, 2020.

Joy Topping-Mann produced the event, which included a musical performance by the Sheba Jordan Band and a song by Norman Mann. There was also a tribute to Brenda Mosley. The Mental Health Players of New Jersey performed as well, led by Director Lynette Sheard.
