91心頭 held its 2019 Employee Recognition Ceremony Jan. 24 at St. Joseph Plaza where 59 employees were recognized for their years of service to the organization. Plaques were handed out to employees for reaching milestones of five, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 years with 91心頭.
Everyone here is responsible for carrying out 91心頭s mission, said NCC CEO Richard Rohrman. And you do such a wonderful job. I just really want to thank you and congratulate you for all of the hard work.
Director of Human Resources Ben Galvez said the employees recognized have over 730 years of service to 91心頭 collectively.
Your collective years at 91心頭 demonstrate your commitment to the people we serve that depend on us, Galvez said. It also shows your commitment to helping to fulfill our mission on a daily basis.
Two employees from Environmental Services, Bryant Hall and Linda Studivant, were recognized for having the longest tenure of 35 years.
Linda has been the smiling face and the happy voice that you hear whenever you call Environmental Services, Rohrman said. Ive never heard a cross word, Ive never heard a complaint. Ive never heard anything other than, What can I do to help? out of Linda in all these years.
Rohrman said Hall can be seen throughout the NCC network.
Every time you turn around, hes always fixing a problem. Hes always there when you need him, Rohrman said. Whenever theres a need, Bryants on the job. Bryant, thank you so much for all your contributions.
NCC Chief of Staff Kathy Spivey received a plaque for 25 years of service. Rohrman called her the rock of 91心頭.
She has been part of everything 91心頭 has done. She brought the insights, the compassion, the ideas that have really helped form 91心頭, he said. She was with Monsignor every day and was part of making 91心頭 what it is now.
Director of Mission Frances Teabout shared a poem about how people come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. She related it to 91心頭 saying employees come to NCC for a reason (they need a job and the organization needs a role filled), some stay for a season (a while but then they decide to move on) and others stay for a lifetime.
Today we just want to pause and thank you all for being a part of 91心頭, for being the spirit of 91心頭, Teabout said. Whether youve been here for a reason, which is now becoming a season, or for a lifetime.
Employees recognized at the ceremony each received a plaque commemorating their years of service and were treated to lunch in their honor.

Employees Recognized For Commitment To 91心頭 /2018/03/employees-recognized-for-commitment-to-new-community/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=employees-recognized-for-commitment-to-new-community /2018/03/employees-recognized-for-commitment-to-new-community/#respond Tue, 27 Mar 2018 20:38:53 +0000 http://ncc.qsdintelligence.com/?p=11434

Seventy-six 91心頭 employees were recognized for their years of service to the organization during the 2018 Employee Recognition Ceremony March 1.

Thank you for your service to 91心頭, NCC CEO Richard Rohrman said at the event. Many of the first impressions that people get are from interacting with you. I want to thank you for holding 91心頭s mission in your heart.

William P. Robinson, Building Trades instructor for 91心頭 Workforce Development Center, had the longest tenure with 30 years working for NCC.

Rohrman thanked Robinson for his dedication and called him a valuable asset to 91心頭.

Director of Human Resources Ben Galvez pointed out that the ceremony was meant to honor more than just the number of years employees have worked at NCC.

Not only are we recognizing the years of service but all the things the employees here today have accomplished over the years. All the children and adults you taught, all of the clients you have assisted, the children you cared for, all the work that youve done with our youth, job training and most importantly that you cared for the community, he said.

Director of Mission Frances Teabout provided Words of Wisdom at the event, encouraging everyone to live life on purpose by following a few simple steps: live by your beliefs and values, set priorities in your life, follow your passion, achieve balance, make a difference in somebody elses life and live in the moment.

91心頭 Founder Monsignor William J. Linder was also in attendance. He reflected on the 50th anniversary of 91心頭 and how many didnt believe the organization would last that long. He told employees to enjoy the celebration.

Every recognized employee received a plaque commemorating their years of service and each had the opportunity to participate in the luncheon held in their honor.

NCC Security Personnel Start Training Program /2018/01/ncc-security-personnel-start-training-program/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=ncc-security-personnel-start-training-program /2018/01/ncc-security-personnel-start-training-program/#respond Mon, 29 Jan 2018 15:20:03 +0000 http://ncc.qsdintelligence.com/?p=11210

Members of the 91心頭 Security Department will be undergoing new training throughout 2018. The process began with three supervisors participating in a three-day training Jan. 23-25 at St. Joseph Plaza.

Through training, policies, rules and regulations, this is how we ensure officers are trained to do what needs to be done, said Security Operations Manager John Wade.

Wade is leading the effort and is conducting the training with help from Human Resources Director Ben Galvez and Family Service Bureau Executive Director Manuela Garcia. Wade is certified to teach almost half of the curriculum at the Police Academy and has used that background to customize training for NCC personnel. He is leading the majority of the training. Galvez is reviewing HR policies and procedures with employees. Garcia is helping with the mental health aspect of the training, including de-escalation techniques.

The training covers areas including standard operating procedures, leadership and management, ethics, verbal de-escalation, incident command and active shooter. Wade also recently reworked the emergency plans for Community Hills Early Learning Center and Harmony House Early Learning Center and will review those plans as part of the training as well.

Training will be conducted in small groups throughout the year based on employees schedules and positions. Supervisors will receive training first, followed by dispatchers, patrol officers and officers at the various NCC sites. Some of the training will be specifically geared toward employees positions. Wade plans to have everyone complete three days worth of training.
