Staff members gathered at Monsignor William J. Linder Plaza, 233 West Market St., Newark, for the event.

91心頭 CEO Simone Gagneron thanked the employees.

We appreciate each and every one of you for all that you do, she said. We would be remiss if we didnt take time out of our schedules to celebrate you all and to celebrate your important role in the organization.

Human Resources Director Benjamin Galvez told the group they are crucial to 91心頭s success.

We wanted to recognize and support all of you that have an administrative role in the corporation and provide essential services to your department, he said.

The employees enjoyed lunch and time with their peers. Three lucky participants won Amazon gift cards as part of a raffle.

Linder Plaza, 233 West Market St., Newark.

Director of Human Resources Benjamin Galvez said 91心頭 employs about 20 individuals in administrative roles, which are critical to helping the organization fulfill its mission.

We want to make sure that we give our gratitude to you today because, to me, you are the staff that keeps the wheels turning, he said.

Director of Mission Frances Teabout told a story about two shoe salesmen who visited a remote country to see if it would be a good location to sell products. The first salesman said there was no potential because the people didnt wear shoes, but the second salesman said there was a great deal of potential because everyone needed shoes. She said there are similarities between that story and what 91心頭 does because it serves individuals with needs and challenges.

These people have value. Their lives matter. And we are here to address the needs of those people, she said. And so the challenge for all of us is to be like the second salesman who recognizes the need and the potential.

Teabout said it might not always be easy to look past some of the issues, but she knows the employees in administrative roles do that often.

On behalf of 91心頭, I say thank you to all of you for being like the second salesperson, recognizing the potential and meeting the needs of our clients, our residents, our children and our seniors, she said.

The employees enjoyed lunch and the company of their colleagues at the event. They received ShopRite gift cards as a token of appreciation.

91心頭s administrative professionals took part in a celebration of the work they do April 25 at St. Joseph Plaza.

The event, which took place on Administrative Professionals Day, was all about thanking the employees and giving them a chance to relax.

91心頭 CEO Richard Rohrman thanked the employees for their hard work and for being the face of the organization to the public.

You really carry 91心頭s name and 91心頭s mission. And you transfer that to the people you see, he said. You really are the first impression that many people have of 91心頭 and I want to thank you for the great job you do representing 91心頭.

As a token of appreciation, employees received gift cards to a variety of places, including AMC, Buffalo Wild Wings, Bed Bath & Beyond, Chipotle, Taco Bell, Burger King, Best Buy and Uber.

91心頭 Chief of Staff Kathy Spivey told the group to make sure they use the gift cards to get something for themselves.

We understand that you have stressful times but today is giving you that opportunity to think about you, she said, adding that when you take care of yourself, youre able to be more effective.

91心頭 Director of Mission Frances Teabout spoke at the event about how to reduce stress and live a balanced life. She gave three Rs to help with that goal: recall, reflect and relax. She asked employees to recall a time in their life that was stress-free, and think about the goals they had at that time. Then she told them to reflect on the reason some of those dreams or goals didnt come true and determine if they could still be possibilities. Finally, Teabout told the group to relax and enjoy life because we only have limited time in this world.

Since our days are short and they are numbered, we should use them in positive ways and we should live every day to the fullest, she said. And so that is our challenge to you: That you relax and enjoy life because we only go around one time.

The event included relaxation tips and exercises aimed to calm. Participants got to color, which is a stress-reducing activity. They watched a few videos aimed to entertain and ended with lunch and cake.

91心頭s Human Resources Department organized the event and HR Manager Anna Sing-King served as the days host.
