Families Enjoy Annual 91��Ƭ Halloween Party

Children and families came out for the 91��Ƭ Halloween Party hosted by Youth Services on Oct. 25 at the NCC Neighborhood Center, 56-68 Hayes St., Newark. It was a fun afternoon for the whole family. Children dressed up in their costumes, participated in games, won prizes, got their face painted, jumped in a bounce house and visited a haunted classroom. 91��Ƭ thanks everyone who participated. McKinsey & Company Volunteers Spruce Up 91��Ƭ Recreation Center

91��Ƭ welcomed volunteers from on Oct. 10 to 91��Ƭ’s recreation center, called the NCC Neighborhood Center, located at 56-68 Hayes St., Newark. Volunteers painted the building’s entrance and one of the classrooms, as well as cleaned the walls in the heavily trafficked main hallway. 91��Ƭ appreciates the volunteers’ efforts and looks forward to inviting them back for future projects.

Community Hills Early Learning Center Honors Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Community Hills Early Learning Center (CHELC), 85 Irvine Turner Boulevard, Newark, hosted a Breast Cancer Walk for students, staff members and parents on Oct. 15. Everyone was encouraged to wear pink, the color of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, for the event. Swinging with Purpose: 91��Ƭ’s 28th Golfing for a Cause Drives Support for Youth

91��Ƭ hosted its 28th Golfing for a Cause fundraiser on Sept. 29 to benefit its Youth Services Department and the Monsignor Linder Scholarship Fund. Supporters gathered at in Livingston for 18 holes of golf and networking, along with an evening reception that included cocktail hour, dinner and raffle prizes.

91��Ƭ Interim Board Chairman Edgar Nemorin thanked all the participants, sponsors and donors for coming to and supporting the event. He talked about 91��Ƭ’s Youth Services Department, which will receive proceeds from the fundraiser, highlighting how 2,864 youth were served in 2024 through core programs and events. He said programs like that are essential to families.

“One of my personal missions is that youth and education opportunities should not be defined by a kid’s or parent’s zip code,” Nemorin said.

91��Ƭ CEO Simone Gagneron expressed her gratitude to all in attendance.

“Thanks to the continued support of our sponsors, along with everyone who participated, donated and purchased raffle tickets, NCC can continue doing great work for those in the community,” she said. “We’re so excited to be able to host this event and give everyone a day away from the office while supporting our youth.”

Christine Stern, Senior Vice President at , a Platinum Sponsor of the event, spoke during the networking reception. She commented about how there was great energy throughout the event and how HUB is happy to support 91��Ƭ.

“We live in a very complex and challenging world. God bless 91��Ƭ for the work you do,” Stern said. “We at HUB feel blessed for being a sponsor of this wonderful event and a partner in helping to manage the business risks associated with the work NCC does.”

Rocco Schiaffino, Assistant Vice President at , another Platinum Sponsor, addressed the crowd as well.

“It’s a privilege to partner with NCC. I believe we have worked together for over 20 years and we are very happy to play a small part in all the amazing work that NCC does,” he said. “We participate in many outings and this is one of our favorite events of the year. We are just very happy to be part of it.”

During the evening reception, prizes were given out to golfers. The first place team was comprised of Keith Kirkland, Norman Hymowitz, Jeremy Hernandez and Greg Ward. A variety of attendees also won raffle prizes.

The Security and Resident Services departments at 91��Ƭ hosted a Family Movie Night on Aug. 15. Children received school supplies, enjoyed snacks and took pictures in front of a balloon banner at 220 Bruce St., Newark. We thank the organizers and all the families who came out. Over 220 People Attend 91��Ƭ Health Fair

The completely free event featured a wide variety of representatives from area organizations, health screenings, health and community information, music and food. More than 220 people attended the Health Fair. 91��Ƭ thanks everyone who came out to support the event and hopes everyone enjoyed themselves and received useful information.
